Swarovski’s exhibition in Zona Tortona is always one of the highlights of Milano Salone. I heard some people saying that it is not as good as they expected (I guess everyone has such a high expectation for Swarovski)
This year I thought it was a nice exhibition - especially “Eternal” by Tokujin Yoshioka. All the designers who were invited to exhibit this year were big names such as Marcel Wanders (for some reason, there were three girls having shower in Wanders’s exhibition - and that seemed to be cliche and was not so impressive), Zaha Hadid, Fredrikson Stallard, but Tokujin Yoshioka’s exhibition stood out.

“Eternal” is a series of acrylic blocks each containing a giant Swarovski Crystal demonstrating the juxtaposition of clear acrylic and clear Swarovski crystal. The installation presents “Eternal” as a floating star. The Eternal series is a limited edition of 41 pieces, representative of Yoshioka’s age.
