Eames Chairs for Green Auction

Japanese furniture store hhstyle.com hosted an auction titled “Green auction”. This auction was started last year and the  main purpose is to contribute to “Green”, which is slowly being lost on the earth. Each unique piece of chair was sold at  this auction and the sales were donated to the special fund owned by the city of Tokyo. This year Japanese architect Junya Ishigami painted on Eames chairs “La chaise”

It is hard to see the design in a distance, but when you look at it closely, there is a city drawn on each chair. Ishigami says that as he observed the chair, he thought about a city. So he drew a map where houses, hills, lakes, mountains are drawn in great detail.
