Japanese product designer Shinichi Sumikawa received red dot design award with his “dumbbell”. This dumbbell lacks symmetry but is perfectly balanced. He came up with this idea because he thought he could create a dumbbell that can be a decorative item in a living room. “That might even encourage people to work out more since it is more noticeable”, Sumikawa says. There are three types available: 0.5kg, 1.0kg, and 2.0kg.
