Muji and Mitsubishi Jisho, one of the largest Japanese real estate developers, decided to collaborate on a new project called “Muji Village”. It is a project in which Muji designs the exterior, the interior, and the public space of the entire site. “Muji Village” will be constructed in Funabashi, Chiba, about 30 minutes away from central Tokyo.
The theme of the concept is the following: GREEN (bring in lots of trees in living), PLAIN(simple. long lasting beauty and freedom), and COMMUNITY(another living room for the habitants).
“Muji Village” is expected to be completed in November 2009.
