21st centry’s new game "Celtis"

This game has been around since 2006 but it is available mostly in Japan. So I would like to write about this Japanese game called “Celtis” designed by Chiaki Murata.

The rule is very simple. The players alternately place the pieces folded with the angle of 120 degrees, and the player who first places 7 same color pieces in a straight line is the winner. The profoundness of this game lies in that placing your piece may favor your opponent, increasing his/her piece. Because one side of a piece and the other side of a piece have different colors.

You can store the pieces inside the board, but if you leave the game on the table, it is designed to function as an interior object d’art.

You can purchase “Celtis” here
